What Is a Grind and Seal Floor?
Grind and seal highlights the natural character of your concrete while adding a protective finish that makes it easier to clean and maintain. It can be a good choice for new concrete or existing floors you want to preserve.
We mechanically grind the surface and address cracks, divots, and other areas that need repair. Depending on the concrete’s condition and your desired finish, we complete one to three grinding passes, using abrasives ranging from 40 to 150 grit.
Every concrete pour is different. Grinding reveals natural variations in color, texture, and aggregate, giving each floor its own appearance. The finished look reflects the concrete already in your space.
Natural Concrete or a Stained Finish
The selected sealer can influence how the concrete’s gray and brown tones appear. We account for moisture conditions before recommending a system suited to your floor and desired finish.
For customers who want added color or a more consistent overall tone, we also offer grind, stain, and seal options. Staining can help bring the look together while retaining the concrete’s natural variation.
